White Castle. One of the three castles of the "Trilateral" built by the Norman Marcher Lords to defend the route from Monmouth into Wales. This is the most impressive of the three, boasting a moat still complete with water today. It is also passed by the Offa's Dyke National Trail

The view is from the NW corner of White Castle Looking into the courtyard. An excellent though of course ruined, Norman Castle, well worth the walk.
